THQ has revealed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is slated for launch in August following nothing but vague "Summer" release windows. Space Marine, if you're not in the loop, is a third person action game in which Orks are sliced to bits with glorious brutality.
August sounds like the perfect month for a game like Space Marine. It's a typically dry release month, allowing a new action title like to really stand out and get noticed. That's some savvy dating right there, methinks.
If you haven't already, check out the scoop we got on Space Marine's Chaos forces. I have a feeling this game is going to be great fun.

Hamza randomly sent this video to me -- while on vacation, no less. Having him be the fetcher of news made this already great trailer that much better, since its vibe sort of meshes with his out-of-control Internet persona.
But, I'm getting ahead of myself here. The footage is of No Time To Explain from tinyBuildGAMES. Count this as yet another flash project that has since grown into something much more substantial than originally planned. Does it look crazy or what?
Terrific premise, and definitely relevant to my interests without treading over oft-covered ground.

Right this way, my darlings! We've moved The Destructoid Show to a new set. It's a little smaller, and I'm not entirely sure we can afford it, but it's in a great neighborhood, and it's a nice place to raise a family. You know, when the time comes. We need setwarming gifts.
In today's episode, we start things off by sexually harassing YOU, the viewer. Then Tara drops some out-of-the-blue info about America 2049, I make stupid Metal Gear Solid jokes about what Hideo Kojima will be announcing at E3, and it looks like those guys who made God of War on PSP have posted some revealingjob listings.
If any of you guys like making your own Machinima videos, you should check out Roxio's new Game Capture gizmo-device. It'll be going on sale tomorrow, because it works. While you've got your wallet out, it looks like Batman: Arkham City is now available for pre-order, and there are all kinds of silly exclusive promos, depending on where you shop. Nick and Dale have put up their kickass Nintendo 3DS review, so go read it, lest everyone treat you like an uninformed caveman.
Finally -- Do you like controlling miniature helicopter drones with your iPhone? Of course you do. Go enter the contest to win a really cool Parrot AR Drone, as seen in Homefront. WOLVERINES!
Spoiler Alert: Tara's wearing leopard-print.

The Game Developers Conference is probably one of my favorite events of the year. There is a hum in the air as people are talking about gaming both on an individual title basis as well as in the broader context of our lives. If you like to think and you like games, there's really no better place to be.
But if you couldn't be there, all is not lost. The GDC Vault offers all of the events sessions in video and audio format for people who subscribe to the service each year. It's a bit pricey, though, which is why I'm thrilled to see so much excellent content being offered for free from the vault. You can watch all of the Classic Game Postmortem sessions (I watched Ron Gilbert talk about Maniac Mansion and it was delightful) as well as get access to some of the sharpest minds in gaming through a variety of other panels.
Go check out the GDC Vault and enjoy some really interesting ideas.

Earlier today, we reported that a few Hudson games for 3DS -- Bomberman, Bonk, and Omega Five -- had been dropped. But, that might not be the case, exactly.
"If (the announcement) didn't come from us, it's not true. We have not distributed any official list of Hudson products yet," a Konami representative told Wired.
The original talk of cancellation stemmed from Famitsu, which removed the aforementioned titles and other Hudson games from its release list. Now that Konami has control of Hudson, it sounds like the games -- the ones that survive, anyway -- simply need to be announced a second time.

Add to myYahoo!Okay, gang, it's time to get serious and do something for our fellow gamers and human beings in the East. As you know, Japan was recently hit by a major earthquake and tsunami. The videogame industry has rallied to auction off rare memorabilia as a fundraiser.
