People have been saying things like "Peacock is going to be my main" when it comes to Skullgirls, and what luck! A trailer for Peacock arrived out of thin air!

I like these kind of trailers a lot, because it gives you a pretty good impression of the kind of flow and the type of combos that Skullgirls will have. And that's a lot better than a montage of different fighters who do flashy moves and "cool" stances if you ask me, regards of whatever fighting title it's for.

I spoke briefly about Arma 2: Free -- Bohemia Interactive's less-featured offering for those on a tight gaming budget -- during the E3 rush. That was a simple announcement post; the real news today is that the military sim is now ready for public consumption.

You can grab it for yourself by using this link and signing into Google, Steam, Facebook, OpenID, or Windows Live ID for activation purposes. I'm tempted to download it just so I can re-experience the pain of not being able to properly pilot the game's vehicles.

Team Fortress 2 is free, free, FREE!

NEWS - Team Fortress 2 is one of my favorite games of all time and now everyone can play without having to pay a penny. Yes, on the PC and Mac, you can download Team Fortress 2 and get in on the action without paying a dime.

There's absolutely no reason now to not get this game if you don't have it. It's one of the best multiplayer games out there and they keep on updating it like crazy. I've definitely got a ton more than my money's worth on it and now that it's free, well, there's no excuse not to download it.

To celebrate the occasion, we finally get the Meet the Medic video below. Ah, these videos are so awesome. The only one left is the Pyro, but for now, enjoy some of the fine skills of the Medic and how he achieves the Uber effect.

For the Über Update festivities, Valve set up Team Fortress 2 with week-long free status. I thought this was a smart idea, but not entirely unexpected, since Valve has a history of pulling such stunts. Making the full game free, forever? Yeah, that's a bit more ballsy -- and it's apparently what the company is doing.

In an interview with Develop, Valve's Robin Walker outed the big plan. "We've been toying with the idea of making Team Fortress free-to-play ever since the Mann-conomy update," Walker reveals. Many of us figured Dota 2 would be the guinea pig, although this strategy will clearly be a good fit for TF2's established storefront.

"The data we got back from that update leads us to believe that TF2 would be more successful as a completely free product. We're always improving on the relationship we have with our customers, and we’re willing to run experiments if we think it will help us learn how to do that better."
