I usually don't have the opportunity to post videos like this for Destructoid. This type of stuff is most often scarfed up by Hamza Aziz for Weekend Destructainment. Luckily for me, Hamza had just finished this week's edition of Destructainment right before discovering this video. He emailed it to the Dtoid staff with the subject line "LOLWUT", and the rest is history.
When it comes to TV shows, movies, Internet memes, and just about everything non-videogame related, I tend to be indifferent, sometimes to the point of snobbery, but this sh*t made me laugh out loud -- hard. I hope it does the same for you.

That delightful scamp Yoshinori Ono has provided us with a glimpse of the top half or Street Fighter X Tekken's current character select screen. This is likely an early, E3-ready build of the game, so those that are already upset that the select screen is too small can calm down. There's still plenty of time for Capcom to fill out the roster before the game's final release.
In the meantime, lets look at what we have here. That's clearly Ken and Ryu in the top left of the character select grid, and Guile and Chun-Li's portraits on screen on the left, but who are the rest of the characters here? Do you see anybody outside of the ten previously confirmed characters?

We've got more than a sneaking suspicion that a new Hitman title is about to be announced sometime soon. Talk of the game dates back to 2009, and late last year a "Hitman 5" showed up on a few resumes.
Now the game may officially have a name: Square Enix Europe has recently trademarked Hitman: Absolution. For reference, the words "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" were trademarked by Square a few months before that game's name was officially unveiled.
So how close are we to seeing the new Hitman? With E3 just around the corner, I'd say pretty damned close. I'd expect an announcement even sooner, with more details to be revealed at the show. Hungry for more now? Check out what may be the first look at the game, uncovered by fans in a supposed Hitman ARG.

There's been a crap load of Nintendo news lately, huh? Between talk of Nintendo's next home console and Miyamoto talking up a storm, it feels like a there was a mini-E3 for Nintendo this week, and it just keeps going.
The latest word from Miyamoto is focused on the pending 3DS eShop a success. He says that "With downloadable games via eShop, we will start to create meaningful and high-value games for 3DS specifically". Even more specifically that, Miyamoto says that there's another another Zelda title that he'd like to port to the 3DS. "Do you remember Xevious?" he says. "It’s two-layered and I really wanted to create that at the time. So to see Link To The Past in two layers would be quite attractive for me."
I agree. I got to play Xevious on the 3DS last year at E3, and it was really fun to look at. I know a lot of people are down on 3D for some reason, but for me, it's just like HD; another non-essential way to spice up a game's visuals. The big difference is, with 3D, it doesn't cost developers alot of extra money to add that extra visual punch. Everything from sprite-based retro titles Punch-Out and Mega Man 2 to low polygon-count titles like Cave Story and Star Fox 64 are more eye-catching and impressive in 3D, with little additional effort or funds required by the development team.
That's my take on glasses-free 3D anyway. What do you think? You sold on Link to the Past 3D, and 3D in general?

I?ve been a fan of Hothead Games for quite a while. From the Ron Gilbert helmed Deathspank to the criminally under-appreciated Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness series, they seem to be one of those groups that know how to make fun niche games. Bunny the Zombie Slayer is their first foray into the iOS market, and is universal for both iPhone and iPad. Do they continue what I believe is an impressive pedigree? For the most part, yes.

[Community member AwesomeExMachina had the opportunity to speak with a group of game developers from De Paul University working on the game Octodad, which is bizarre, awesome, and definitely worth your attention. Want to see your own work on the front page? Write something awesome and put it in the c blogs! -- Kauza]
I’ve knocked over the same wine glass for the sixth time. I’m simply trying to move it a few inches into the sink, because my wife politely asked me to wash the dishes and because she holds onto a banana I desperately need to finish my octopus decoy. But I keep knocking it onto the floor. My limbs just keep slapping it around. At one point, I actually hurled it across the room as if it was placed on a precariously taught catapult. Finally, I succeed and the last glass is in the sink. But even as my wife presents me with my reward in her outstretched hand, I can't seem to grab it. I press a wrong button, switch to my leg control, and tumble over our dining room table.
The motion I search for should be simple and would require the most marginal of motion in reality. But I am in a quaint, colorfully painted digital home, reminiscent of a 1950s dream, and I am an octopus in a suit, who is trying desperately to be a father. I am a terrible father, it seems, and even worse octopus. But this is the whole point. Because I am not struggling with just the control scheme, but also with the incapacitating laughter of my clumsy failures.
I am playing Octodad and movement is an intentional nightmare. My characters has no thumbs and no hands. My tentacle can adhere confidently to objects, but moving it from one point to another is a game of patience and disaster. Everyday motions like picking up objects require rapt attention. The two legs seem often unable to support the character’s weight and their movement is likewise loose and unhinged. My character is a squirmy mess of poor motor control.
Octodad doesn’t want your money – it’s free to play, in fact. It simply wants to make you laugh.
Walking is performed by holding down the left or right mouse button, dragging the mouse forward to move your “foot,” and then releasing it to place it. It’s an intentionally clumsy system and results are just that. You will fail quite frequently simply trying to leave a room, twirling backwards inadvertently and putting the titular octopus into accidental splits. But this is the design, these controls are part of the challenge. Your limbs function not unlike those claw-arm machine games and, just as such, Octodad is rigged to supplement your failure. But the intentions are much less nefarious.
