As you may recall, I recently interviewed Ian Flynn, the writer of Archie's Mega Man comic. When I was trimming down the Skype text dump so that it didn't run 50 pages, I chopped off a bit towards the end when Ian briefly mentioned the story arc following the Mega Man 2 adaptation. It was very vague and I figured we'd hear specific details in the near future, so I left that part on the cutting board. Lo and behold, cover art and a synopsis for issue #13 has arrived!
The new arc is entitled "Spiritus ex Machina" and will be an original tale that introduces some new characters plus familiar faces that technically don't appear in the Mega Man canon at this point. Dr. Cossack and Pharaoh Man make their debut appearances as will Rush, then there's newcomer Dr. Lalinde, who is possibly Dr. Light's love interest. About time ol' Tommy boy got some action!
Now, what's this about a black sheep? Apparently, Dr. Wily will be exploring the Lanfront Ruins, a location featured in the Japan-exclusive Super Adventure Rockman, an ill-fated FMV game that Keiji Inafune has deeply regretted. Ian was totally serious when he said he'll be referencing every corner of the Mega Man universe, even the red-headed stepchildren. Also, "Emerald Spears"? Clever girl...
Oh, and if you are hitting up the TMMN link below, go on and give their interview with Ian Flynn a read! They were a whole lot more professional than I was, let me tell you!

Sup Holmes is a live stream videogame-focused internet talk show and podcast that Conrad Zimmerman, myself, and many others are currently trying to get off the ground. There will be topics, special guests from the world of gaming, and a whole lot more. It's a pretty ambitions project with a lot of variables, so a lot could go wrong. It's daunting, but in the words of Chevy Chase in National Lampoon's Vacation "I'm gonna go for it".
If you want to get involved, there are two things you can do right now. The first is you can email a question via text, voice, or video to HolmesSupHolmes@gmail.com. There is a good chance that whatever you send could be used in out first show, which will most likely be about the strange world of videogame "journalism" and what it's like for both developers and game writers to navigate through it. Staying on topic would be good, but if you have an off topic question that you think is so awesome, then you might as well run it by us.
The second thing you can do is give me some feedback on the show's theme song. I wrote the song and hobbled the video presented below in about ten minutes, so I wont be hurt if you hate it. The final version of the song will be set to an animation created by Linzb0t and will be used in the intro to every episode. If you want to try to make the song better, either by telling me what to play, or by playing it yourself, then go for it! There is nothing I like more than teaming up with you guys.

I'm a huge strategy fan. Have been for as long as I've been gaming. I love how every time I'm on the battlefield, things seem to work out a bit differently. I love how no two skirmishes ever feel the same. And I really love it when a game gives me a good mental workout. Unfortunately, most mobile strategy titles don't feature anywhere near the depth that you're likely to find on their PC counterparts. That said, strategy fans may want to check out Time of Heroes on iOS devices. It's not perfect, but this genuinely feels like the closest thing to a PC strategy game on a mobile platform.
