Square Enix and Obsidian Ent has released the final character trailer for Dungeon Siege III featuring an Archon named Anjali. Archons are fire spirits who serve their creator gods, however, Anjali has no recollection of how she was born, others of her kind, or the extent to her power. She’s also a shapeshifter. In her [...]

Knight?s Story attempts to merge several different gameplay elements into one cohesive whole. You can explore new areas, fight vicious creatures, and build up a castle town. While relatively simple on their own, these elements end up working quite well together. But a solid, if not entirely original, premise and some great production values are wasted on a game with such stingy energy requirements that it will feel like ages have gone by before you make any real progress.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is less than a month away now, so here's another dev diary to hold you over. It covers a lot of the gameplay elements, such as the "witchery side of the game," the different skill trees, and how mutagens allow you to mutate some skills in one skill tree to make up for not being able to put points into other skill trees.
The devs talk a bit about how Geralt will be able to wield more types of weapons than in The Witcher, how crafting and using items works, and how you can combine items with magical attacks like setting fire to bombs. The game will also feature a permadeath difficulty mode where Geralt's death ends the game.
I wouldn't recommend starting out on that difficulty setting, as I died plenty of times while learning the combat mechanics in the beginning of the game and then made some stupid mistakes later on. It's cool that it's included though, as it doesn't exactly sound like the hardest thing to include for the more hardcore gamers. I wonder how it will work with quicksaves?

I hope you didn't forget about the Razer Hydra. It's a motion-control device for PC, which might seem a little unusual at first, but the market is certainly there for this type of controller. Razer and Sixense have announced details for the Portal 2 bundle: it's shipping in June for $139.99.
Pre-orders will open in May for the bundle, which includes the crazy-looking base, two controllers, and a copy of Portal 2. The real draw seems to be the custom levels for Portal 2, as demonstrated here. The question you always have to ask yourself is "Will this thing be supported by software?"
Thankfully, it's shaping up nicely on that front. At launch, the Razer Hydra will be compatible with 125 games, and they're mostly games you'd want for this device. Head here to see the full list and more on the Hydra.
[Thanks, Matthew]

Well now you can with Razer's new motion sensing controller, the Razer Hydra. The controller, which resembles the Wii's nunchuck with extra buttons on top, will allow you to extend your natural body motion into the game. The unit comes by itself or bundled with Portal 2 which contains exclusive content for the Razer Hydra.

When you get as big as you can at home, it?s time to go international. That certainly seems to be the case for OpenFeint. Arguably the biggest player in the US mobile social gaming market, they?ve just been acquired in a triangular merger by GREE, a mobile social company of similar standing in Japan.
