Every time that launch commercial for The Beatles: Rock Band makes an appearance, I'm always blown away by how fantastic it really is. I'm still not certain how the advertisement was crafted, although that's a good thing. It adds to the mystery.
As we inch closer to the holiday season, we'll be seeing less and less of that TV spot, and more of a new one devised to target, well, everyone. I was going to say "Christmas shoppers," but this is The Beatles we're talking about here.
Yes, this commercial is decidedly less rad. Even so, I think it will get the job done. Probably more relevant to your interests is the announcement of a new show centered around the game's development. "The Making of The Beatles: Rock Band" debuts Friday, November 27 on VH1 Classic at 7:30 EST.
I think I somehow have that channel. Sweet!

This week's update comes courtesy of Nakky's blog over at the official Super Street Fighter IV website, and teases some big news on the way. Nakky has a screencap of Chun-Li being treated unkindly by someone of unknown identity, and she says there'll be "something huge" announced next week.
Nakky teases, "Chun-Li's getting beat up... but, by who?" Seems pretty safe to assume the big news will be a character reveal, and Nakky says the info will also be published in the 11/26 issue of Famitsu, which goes on sale shortly. This pleases me, because as we all know, Famitsu tends to be ... how shall I put it ... less than watertight with its secrets.
We'll probably know for sure before we're supposed to, but until then, feel free to point at the new stage pictured above and speculate as to whose it might be. In the meantime, Dan Hibiki, El Fuerte and Rufus have been added to the official character profiles page as well.

Add to myYahoo!Ah, Left 4 Dead 2. The last major release for this year on my "why haven't you got this yet?" list.
I figured it would be worth pacing myself with Modern Warfare 2 as the go-to multiplayer game, at least until L4D2 became cheaper during Black Friday or Cyber Monday. On multiple occasions, I was this close to caving in, so I probably won't last much longer.
Seems like I'm in a rare spot, since about 80% of my friends list has made the switch from Infinity Ward to Valve this week, while I'm sitting here trying to get my last ten or so stars in Spec Ops. Those freakin' Juggernauts are cheap, man.
Quick guide to FNF for new players: Each week, a bunch of Destructoid readers and usually an editor or two get together to play some videogames online. Fun times!
The planning for FNF takes place in the forums, where Dtoiders volunteer to host by posting their information (gamertag, time to meet up, game, etc.) in the forum post corresponding to the system they're interested in playing on.
Then, every Friday, reminder posts for those who don't read the forums regularly go up in the community blogs section all thanks to a dedicated group of cool individuals. And for everyone who wants their info all in one place, they have got my weekly recap posts which you are currently reading.
Now that you're here, just scan the list below and find a game you want to play. All that's left to do after that is to join the match by contacting the host below using any means necessary. For Wii, you might have to be a little creative, but for 360/PS3 a simple "invite plz" message will be fine.

If you want to get your gaming done later on in the evening, scroll on down past this section, otherwise hit up the following European hosts/early FNFers for a good time.
