Sam & Max season 3 poaches pre-order price cut on
PSN

Sam & Max season 3 poaches pre-order price cut on PSN screenshot

Alright, let's be frank here -- I'll take any chance I can get to pimp Telltale Games' Sam & Max games. The justification this time is that some new-fangled PlayStation Network pre-order starts today. As in right now.

If you pre-order now, Sam & Max: The Devil's Playground (that's the name of Season 3, by the way) can be yours for the low low price of $29.99. The first two seasons of Sam & Max -- Save the World and Beyond Time and Space -- each had five episodes each, which averages to $6 per game. On the other hand, this deal expires when the first episode is released: if you buy each episode individually, you'll end up paying $34.95 in the long run.

And if you're ever playing Trivial Pursuit and need to know what the very first PSN pre-order campaign was, you'll now know that Sam & Max led the charge. Hopefully the Freelance Police won't go down Light Brigade style.

Oh? What's that? You didn't know that Sam & Max were making their PlayStation 3 debut on April 15th? You must've missed the announcement (and trailer) from GDC.

If you'd rather use a mouse, don't forget that Mac and PC users can also head over to Telltale.com to pre-order The Devil's Playground. Telltale have thrown in a free episode (presumably from an earlier season) to sweeten the pot, but the $35 price tag isn't quite as sexy.
