Big Tree Defense Review

Big Tree Defense is a member of the tower defense genre of video games, in which players arrange assorted types of gun turrets and other fantastical weaponry in order to intercept and destroy wave after wave of attacking enemies. It's a simple concept that's been around for years; at their most basic, tower defense games are easy-to-play time-killers, but some of the more advanced versions require a surprising amount of strategic thinking. This one definitely falls into the latter category.

Cafe World Review

Café World is one of the games Zynga has launched since the massive success of FarmVille, and its overall style of play is very influenced by that game. By serving food to customers and performing sundry other tasks, you can earn enough money to customize your little café to fit your tastes and grow it into a larger restaurant. Every recipe in the game requires a certain amount of time to create, anything from five minutes to three days.

Hive Review

My wife likes to joke around and tell people that I have an irrational fear of bugs and spiders. I, on the other hand, like to say I have a totally rational fear of them. I?m pretty confident that given the chance a spider would kill me and every one I?ve ever loved. Based on this nugget of truth you?d think I?d be wary of a game that involves bugs, but I suppose that?s a testament to how interesting Hive is.

NFS World Interview: Bonding with metal on wheels

NFS World Interview: Bonding with metal on wheels screenshot

I'll admit it; I'm an MMORPG addict. The thought of getting new upgrades makes my blood pressure go up, and dreams about having the best character in town often keep my mind occupied while I wait for servers to come back up from maintenance. This why I took special interest in Need for Speed World, a new MMORPG built for the NFS franchise.

How does it work? Take a look at the video to find out more.

Twilight games could make MILLIONS!

Twilight games could make MILLIONS! screenshot

The Twilight franchise is a giant cash cow. The books, movies and even ... underwear have sold like crazy but one sector the franchise hasn't touched yet is the videogame market. Games analyst Nick Gibson spoke about the possibility of a Twilight game series and believes that a game based on the wimpification of vampires could "easily present a seven-figure exploitation opportunity." Nick goes on to say that the videogame would be a hit with the ladies, especially on the Wii and DS.

CVG points out that there may be a videogame actually in the works as BrainJunk Studios has acquired the license for Twilight based games. Also, there was that Twilight Scene it!, which Papa Burch loves.

Whatever the case, I just used this story as an opportunity to post the header image. Yup.

NVIDIA 197.13 drivers causing StarCraft II issues

by: John Yan
NEWS - I finally built my new system and decided to install the latest NVIDIA 197.13 drivers from NVIDIA. Having not played StarCraft II yet, I thought it would be a good game to test out the system with. Lo and behold, the game would crash all the time right after boot.

Turns out, after reading this thread, that the new NVIDIA drivers are causing issues with the beta. I've sent off the error to NVIDIA so hopefully they can get a response back to me quickly and get this resolved so I can continue with my Zerg rushing.
