Match three games are a dime a dozen these days. That means that if you want to find a good one, you'll likely have to slog through a lot of crud. Planet Buster, thankfully, is one of the gems that stands out from the muck, thanks to its goofy style and incredibly fun gameplay.

We all want Diablo III to be done, and we all want to be playing it right now. Blizzard wants it to be done too, but they are taking the time to make it a good game. Just when we thought everything was getting finished up, Blizzard is making some drastic changes to a few of Diablo III's system mechanics.
Jay Wilson, the game director for Diablo III, said in a blog post on the Diablo III site that, "We want Diablo III to be the best game it can be when it launches. To get there, we're going to be iterating on designs we've had in place for a long time, making changes to systems you've spent a lot of time theorycrafting, and removing features you may have come to associate with the core of the experience. Our hope is that by embracing our iterative design process in which we question ourselves and our decisions, Diablo III won't just live up to our expectations, but will continue to do so a decade after it's released."
They are making some big changes to the skill and rune systems, but they aren't ready to let us know about those yet. What we do know, is that they are completely removing Scrolls of Identification, one of the quick slot buttons is becoming a dedicated potion button, the Mystic artisan is being removed, they are removing the Cauldron of Jordan and Nephalem Cube, Stone of Recall is being renamed to Town Portal and it's being placed right into the UI, Blacksmiths will be able to salvage items, character attributes are getting new benefits, and your stats will be shown right on your inventory screen.
The full post has details on each of these changes, and they really stress how much they want Diablo III to be an amazing game, and that they aren't afraid to take as much time as they need to finish it. It's nice that they are actually taking some feedback from the beta testing and making changes to the game.
If you are in the beta and you have an opinion on these changes, please let us know in the comments!

The Network. Granted, it?s not a very enticing name, but look beyond that and you?ll find a game that, despite being quite simple at its heart, is oddly addicting in short bursts. The Network is very similar to Geometry Wars, although the former could be classed as the poor man?s latter, since none of the unique style or mixture of fast paced gameplay is quite on offer here. However, those looking for a retro shooter may find some enjoyment with The Network.

NEWS - Probably the most information-intensive visit of CES 2012 came with the visit to the Samsung booth to cover their new line of PC equipment, including laptops and monitors.
First off, let’s get this rolling with the Series 5 laptop. The Series 5 is a solid choice for most any consumer that needs great power from their system, yet great portability as well. Options will include up to a 1 Terabyte Hard Disk Drive with your standard optical disk drive, and a long battery life that will last over six hours, though that will more than likely depend on the power settings that the user has it set on. While the general specifications are always eye-grabbers right out of the gate, Samsung has put a direct emphasis on mobility. The Series 5 will be just .82” thick and weigh just a shade over four pounds, which does include the weight of the HDD. That’s quite impressive for a laptop, even in this day in age. The layout of the system itself sports a beautiful 14” screen, a large trackpad for mouse usage, and a fast boot that will take no more than 20 seconds.
While the Series 5 is a solid system to start at, it only gets better from there. The Series 7 Chronos builds upon the power and portability of its little brother by bulking up to a whopping 17.3” display, a dual storage system that features a 64GB Solid State Drive to go along with a 1 Terabyte Hard Disk Drive, a powerful nVidia Geforce GT 650M graphics card that boasts 2 Gigabytes dedicated to the card itself. The Fast Boot takes no longer than 14 seconds (only with systems that have dual storage) along with a start speed of just one second. There will be no more waiting around for your system to boot up and seemingly take forever to get to the desktop. On top of these wonderful specifications comes the addition of premium JBL Speakers with a built-in sub-woofer for exceptional sound quality. The keyboard itself is back lit with a sensor and the battery boasts a life span of 1500 cycles for three years of performance.
If we stopped there, it would certainly be a strong showing for Samsung. However, we aren’t even close to finishing this off. The Series 9 laptop is arguably the best laptop Samsung has put out for the consumer market. Measuring in at just half an inch thickness, this notebook got every possible upgrade to assure that its state of the art. With a fast boot of just 9.8 seconds, the Series 9 laptop is guaranteed to put the competition on notice. The 13.3” screen boasts a 1600x900 resolution and is incredibly vivid. Outside of that, we don’t know specifications just yet, so you will have to wait for more information from Samsung before rushing out to make your decision on your next laptop.
These three laptops are guaranteed to offer every possible solution for the everyday computer user, but Dan and I had to ask the question that was obvious to us: What about a laptop for the gamers? Samsung answered our question quite easily, taking us to the Series 7 Gamer. This laptop is nothing short of a beast. I was able to demo this great system with a test run of Battlefield 3 at its peak graphics performance, which is easily switched to by a knob that is on the hinge of the screen and the base. There are four modes to switch between for whatever type of usage you need out of the laptop, with the gamer mode giving you great eye candy once the system launches it into the heavy graphics intensive mode. Sporting a powerful AMD Radeon HD6970M Graphics Card and a second generation Intel Quad Core i7 processor, every gamer will want to at least give this a tryout. The CPU is optimized not only for heavy game use, but is sure to keep the system cool with a turbo cooling system built into the system.
Finishing off our tour in Samsung’s PC world, we come to the Series 9 PC monitors for home use. While we don’t know a lot of the internal specifications of the monitors themselves, we can tell you that these beautiful monitors sport a top resolution of 2560x1440 and offer a 178 degree viewing angle. Trust me when I tell you that the picture quality on these monitors was absolutely crystal clear. The amount of space that they take up is limited directly to the monitor size itself, thanks to the sleek design of the base and support for the unit.
Samsung has shown us that they are not only a top player in the television market, but are quite serious about becoming a top player in the PC world as well, and their line of laptops and monitors are certain to make an impact in the coming year.

In its six year history, Dungeons & Dragons Online has gone through a significant number of changes, not least of which was the change from a subscription model to free-to-play in 2009. But unlike many other titles in the genre -- some of which are younger than DDO -- it has never received an expansion. Up until now, that is. Turbine has announced that this summer players will be able to leave Eberron, travel to the Forgotten Realms and venture into the Underdark in its first ever expansion: Menace of the Underdark. Killing Drow, hell yeah!
Along with wandering around caverns, fighting Drow and getting freaked out when a spiderweb brushes your face, players will also be able to explore some of the surface, including the village of Eveningstar. The level cap has been increased to include epic levels up to 25 and the shape-shifting, nature loving Druid class has also been added. This is all tempting me to return to the game, Eberron isn't really my cup of tea. But the Underdark? That's a whole different story. In the end it will really depend on the price, it's a premium expansion.

A demo for Resident Evil Revelations has appeared on the 3DS eShop today. You should play it if you get the chance, but whatever you do, don't try the demo more than 30 times -- Reggie Fils-Aime's top men will hunt you down.
Yes, in a bizarre twist, the Revelations demo is restricted to 30 "uses." When attempting to initiate the software, a message will pop up saying as much, which has me thinking this could be standard across all demos. If so, Nintendo is really stepping it up in solidifying itself as a company unwilling or unable to adapt to straightforward concepts in this industry.
We'll find out soon enough; a demo for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games is planned for January 26, followed by demos for Rayman Origins and Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D at a later date.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater recalls a very specific time in my life, a period of freedom and uncertainty as I was just entering the world. I was in my first apartment in a crappy part of town, working a full-time job, a part-time job and generally killing myself. But at night, I'd come home to find my roommate on the couch popping off tricks in THPS and suddenly would find myself lost for hours in competition.
I haven't talked to that old roommate in a few years now but, looking at these shots of the "Warehouse" and "School 2" stages for the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, I think I'll have to give him a call and find out how rusty he is.

Thinking back on how much I enjoyed Mortal Kombat, the upcoming PlayStation Vita version sounds intriguing, especially since I never got around to downloading any of the post-release characters. Over on the PlayStation Blog, NetherRealm Studios' own Ed Boon teases what's in store.
This version contains everything from the PS3 release and runs at 60 frames per second. Recognizing the Challenge Tower as being a good match for handheld gaming, the team decided to add a second one. This new one has 150 challenges, some of which make full use of the Vita hardware.
There won't be a touch-only mode, but Mortal Kombat will let you perform fatalities with the front touch screen for increased accessibility. I was fully prepared to pass on this version. They're not making it easy.
