Sonic 4 updates: New screens & music for Splash
Hill Zone

Sonic 4 updates: New screens & music for Splash Hill Zone screenshot

The Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Web site has updated with some hot new assets for its first level, Splash Hill Zone. Eight new screenshots, as well as the first music track, have been revealed. Hooray!

The new screens show off a few new items of note. His homing attack, a shield, and a checkpoint have all been unveiled, as well as a familiar feature to old school players -- Sonic swinging from vines to reach higher places. As with everything we've seen of Sonic 4 so far, it seems pretty damn funky.

Love the music as well. That's exactly the kind of tune I want in a Sonic game!

[Thanks, TimmiT]

'Nuff said: Good Old Games gets Another World

'Nuff said: Good Old Games gets Another World screenshot

Another World -- or Out of this World, as many of you will know it by -- is now on DRM-free digital distribution service Good Old Games. It can be had for $9.99. Need I say more?

I love the game, even though I have never made it more than oh, five minutes in. It's more or less universally loved by the Destructoid staff. Not long after we got an email detailing the good news, the thread soon reached fifteen or so replies full of praise for the game.

Other, less exciting recent releases include: Empire Earth II Gold, Gabriel Knight 3, and Aquanox. Not to completely s**t on these games, but this is Another World we're talking about here.

PS3/PC GTA: Episodes from Liberty City slightly
delayed

PS3/PC GTA: Episodes from Liberty City slightly delayed screenshot

Rockstar Games has informed us that Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for PlayStation 3 and PC has been hit with a slight delay. No biggie, it's only by two weeks -- the games will now ship on April 13 in North America and April 16 in all other countries.

The reason? "Minor content changes" requested by Sony Europe, which delayed the submission and approval process.

"We understand and sympathize with fans that will be upset by this delay," Rockstar said in a statement today. "We want to assure our fans that the minor changes made to the game will not affect the gamer's enjoyment of the games; these will not affect any elements and were not related to any local ratings requirements."

Vague, to be sure. When contacted for specifics, Rockstar pointed us to a blog post on its official site which mentions they were asked to "edit some of the in-game Liberty City radio station, television, and Internet content." Check out their post for more details.
