They mean it: Minerva's Den for BioShock 2 PC
this month

They mean it: Minerva's Den for BioShock 2 PC this month screenshot

After a prolonged back-and-forth session regarding BioShock 2 PC getting downloadable content, 2K Games is finally sticking with May 31 as the day Minvera's Den will become available to the platform. It's really happening, guys.

800 Microsoft Points ($10) is the price, as expected. Also unsurprisingly, you will have to buy the single-player add-on through Games for Windows live -- BioShock 2 does support the system, after all.

I have yet to hear anything but recommendations for Minerva's Den, and it's been many months since the content first hit consoles. Almost time to get on that, then.

The Final Hours of Portal 2 now available for Mac
and PC

The Final Hours of Portal 2 now available for Mac and PC screenshot

It's been nearly a month since iPad owners first started praising Geoff Keighley's The Final Hours of Portal 2. Thankfully, the rest of us now have the opportunity to see what the fuss is about -- this App has fittingly come to Steam for PC and Mac.

The digital book retains its $1.99 asking price, and has all of the features present in the initial iPad version. For those unfamiliar, Keighley sat in on Valve for three years to make this story possible, something you almost never see happen in this industry.

We frequently have the pleasure of hearing about how desperately some of you want journalism. Well, here you go. Show that you weren't simply complaining for the sake of it.

Dead Island Is Still Playing The Emotion Card

There’s certainly nothing wrong with pulling some emotional strings. However, the trailer attempts to tug at those same heartstrings as the “anticipation-building” teaser trailer, matching in some in-game footage.

BioWare talks building up to Mass Effect 3's
ending

BioWare talks building up to Mass Effect 3's ending screenshot

Since the beginning of Mass Effect, we've had to make choices with the extra guilt that they would eventually come back to haunt or help us in later installments. PC Gamer got to talking with BioWare's Casey Hudson about how those decisions will inevitably affect Mass Effect 3.

"You’re basically building towards greater and greater degrees of success, in terms of how you’re able to fight the Reapers," says the executive producer. "So [similar to Mass Effect 2] you’re going to want to do more, and be more successful, and make better choices throughout."

"Killing the Rachni might present opportunities in Mass Effect 3 that you wouldn’t otherwise have, but if you don’t take those opportunities and you try and do something in opposition to that, then it would be harder for you than if you work with it."

Finally, he gets to the part I've been waiting to hear: "If you really build a lot of stuff and bring people to your side and rally the entire galaxy around you, and you come into the end game with that, then you’ll get an amazing, very definitive ending."

Multiplayer comes to Infinity Blade this Thursday
(iPad)

Infinity Blade rocked our socks off when it came out back in December, but since then, I?ve admittedly spent little time playing it. I seem to be in the minority on this, as many of my friends still find themselves killing the God King over and over again in their endless pursuit for better armor and stronger weapons. But whether your still an active participant in the God King?s slaughter, or have long since moved on to a newer obsession, you?ll want to fire this bad boy up again on May 19th. Developer Chair Entertainment has just confirmed that this will be the day their latest update will be going live, and it can be summed up in a single, glorious word: multiplayer.

Sagat rears his ugly head in Street Fighter X
Tekken

Sagat rears his ugly head in Street Fighter X Tekken screenshot

So, Sagat is in Street Fighter X Tekken. By rights, I should be happier about this. Not only is Sagat one of my favorite people, but the inherent hilarity derived from teaming him with Tekken's Bob is in itself worth its weight in comedy gold. Yet, I'm left somewhat cold by this announcement. Like the tease of Cammy's legs in the game from a week or so back, Sagat's inclusion in Street Fighter X Tekken just feels sort of obvious. It's like getting cheese on that cheeseburger you ordered.  It's good, and if it was missing you might be pissed off, but is it worth getting excited about?

I guess that depends on how good the cheese is. Hopefully I'll find out myself in a few weeks at E3.

Naughty Bear Gold includes add-ons, out now on
PS3, 360

Naughty Bear Gold includes add-ons, out now on PS3, 360 screenshot

Naughty Bear had one of the more unusual premises for a game in recent memory. It also got quite a bit of add-on content following its launch. I can't imagine too many of you were out there buying it all up; perhaps this news will interest you.

505 Games has bundled the three content packs with the core game to create Naughty Bear Gold. It's available as of today for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at a more suitable budget price of $29.99. Not bad, considering the DLC would have been $25 on its own.

Smart strategy to get this game back on store shelves, but I can't say that I'll be opting out of playing L.A. Noire for Naughty Bear's sake.
