We've still got a few months until Halloween, but this Iron Man outfit may outclass every other costume that appears this year.

We received some assets from D3 Publisher tonight for Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, which is coming in less than a month. Marvel at gigantic bugs and guys in ridiculous suits fighting them. July is going to be awesome.
Making a sequel to a product which has achieved a cult status has to be so difficult, though. Take The Rocky Horror Picture Show as an example. When it comes to being a rock musical and a subversive social commentary, the follow-up Shock Treatment outclasses. But in putting the central freaks into suits instead of corsets it took some of the identity away. In the case of Barry Humphries, maybe we should count our blessings.
God, I hope there's somebody out there who knows what the hell I'm talking about here because it sure as hell isn't me.

And then a tsunami came and killed our villagers. A whole seven days of work down the drain. Back to the drawing board, I suppose. Such is the nature of From Dust.
Here's a video of Tara and I, talking about our impressions of this new god game which feels a lot like some old ones in as far as my skills in all of these are awful. Seriously, I could not manage to wrap my head around water displacement and just kept fumbling around like a blind idiot for ten minutes while the designer smugly looked at me.
I hear he offered Tara actual, concrete advice. I'm not saying there was some sort of gender inequality at play which might have led to him allowing me to look stupid while she received instruction. But, damn it, I'm pretty too!

I bet you thought our E3 videos were over, didn't ya? Well, guess again! Max and I are back with one of our last demoes to come out of E3, and believe me, our exhaustion shows. Then again, that could just be from playing Fruit Ninja Kinect. Waving your arms around like an idiot is a surprisingly fun workout! Just ask Hamza, who got some hands on time with the game as well.
Expect Fruit Ninja for Kinect to hit XBLA later this summer as part of Xbox's Summer of Arcade promotion. Until then, I guess you'll just have to act like an idiot the old-fashioned way: Ask out a pretty girl, begin sobbing uncontrollably, throw up on her shoes, and then run to the bathroom before she has a chance to say no. Works every time.

If you paid attention to Microsoft's press conference at this year's E3, then it should come as no surprise that Kinect games are dominating the Xbox this year. While this may seem like good news for those of you who don't mind incorporating a little fitness into your video game routine, there is that nagging thought lying in the recesses of our brains: just how ridiculous does Kinect make us look?
Never being one to turn down the prospect of actual scientific research, Max Scoville took his curiosity to the streets. And by streets, I mean those little carpeted walkways they have around the convention center. His objective? To find out which Kinect game makes you look the most ridiculous.
Watch the video to find out which game won! And if you'd like to nominate Max Scoville for the Excellence in Video Game Journalism and Assclownery award, you may request to do so in the comments.

NEWS - I only started working with SteelSeries this year at CES, but in that time I've come across some really great products from them. At this year's E3, they were in the World of Tanks booth showing off their Diablo III branded line of products.
First up is the headset that's got the same specs as the great Siberia V2 that I reviewed, but it's designed with all things Diablo III in mind. With the help of the lead artist, SteelSeries has crafted a set of headphone that would make any Diablo fan excited.

I found Dead Rising 2 to be enough Dead Rising for a while to come, but there are plenty of you craving more of the series' particular brand of zombie mayhem. Nick has told us about Dead Rising 2: Off the Record a few times now, and if you were waiting on the price tag, then here you are.
The game is going to be $39.99 in North America at launch, reveals executive producer Jason Leigh in a chat with Eurogamer. Realistically, this is what it needed to be, and it's nice to see Capcom didn't try to get away with anything more. (That said, $29.99 would've been oh so sweet.)
Who's in at this price?

NEWS - Game: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Developer: Infinity Ward/ Sledgehammer Games
Release Date: 11/8/11
What's polished: The epic scope of the war, the trademark chases
What needs polishing: Graphics don't seem too much more improved over Modern Warfare 2 such as the character models, feeling of same ole same ole crept up a bit
My annual visit to Activision at E3 also includes my annual look at the Call of Duty game for the year. This time around, we know it's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. While the surprise was let loose a little early, for me it's still nice to get a close up look at the game.
The demo consisted of two levels with the first part being the introduction to Microsoft's E3 press conference. If you missed it, check it out and you can see what I saw. There seemed to be a little difference though between what I saw at the booth than at the press conference as I seem to remember many more bodies floating during the journey toward the submarine in the tunnel, a sight which threw me back a bit. I have to say the epic scope of the third World War was presented pretty well when the player surfaced and started the assault on the sub as well as when they were making their escape after launching the missiles. It did get me a little pumped.
For the second part of the demo, there was a pretty interesting chase in the subway system of London. It started out assaulting some docks and things go wrong when the truck you are after contains nothing inside. The demonstrator then set about chasing some of the enemies into a subway where she proceeded to hop into a truck and chase down a few subway cars.
Now, I don't know how many (I'm assuming) Russians were in the subway cars, but the person who was at the controls killed a ton of them. I mean, they kept popping up making the scene a little humorous for me thinking how many of these guys were laying low in there. The sequence was very fast paced and there were some tense moments as well as subway walls sometimes obstructed the view of the enemies.
The scene ended with the subway tumbling over and over taking out many of the underground columns reminiscent of the subway scene in Die Hard with a Vengeance only much more chaos ensued here.
I have to say being a player of all the Infinity Ward Call of Duties and Black Ops, the scenes were fun but also had that feeling of, I've done this many times before. Maybe because I have played a ton of Modern Warfare 1 and 2, but I hope that Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer have some new things to give veterans of the series some surprises. I definitely do not want another mission where I play through and die as the main character as I think that's been played out in the previous two Modern Warfares.
No information or pictures were given on the multiplayer portion, the part where I spend the most time on so that's a little disappointing. I am hopeful Modern Warfare 3 finishes off the trilogy nicely though given what I thought of the previous single player storyline. This is going to be a big test for the folks at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer to try and produce a solid Call of Duty title with many of the original members gone. Treyarch surprised me with a good effort in Black Ops and I hope I am surprised again with Modern Warfare 3.
