Saints Row The Third introduces the Deckers, the
hacking gang

NEWS - It looks like the folks at Volition liked the new Tron movie significantly more than John and I did as they've added a cyber/hacking gang to the world of Saints Row:The Third. The gang is called The Deckers and they manage to steal all of the money from the bank accounts of the Saints when they reach the new city of Steelport.

Why do I think that? Well the trailer make them look like Tron wanna-be's given that they wear clothes that were bought from the Tron section of a Disney store. I'm willing to give the Volition guys the benefit of the doubt as they can probably pull this off (the short tank footage brought a flicker of a smile to my face). What do you all think? Heads Up: COD:BLOPS Rezurrections pack coming to
PS3 and PC on September 22nd.

NEWS - Activision announced today that the will be releasing the Rezurrection DLC pack for Call of Duty:Black Ops on September 22nd. To further entice people to pick up the pack, Activision will also be having a Double XP weekend from September 23-25nd. Not a bad deal but it still doesn't make up for having to wait so long for the content.

It's Monday night and we're back in action on Backlog, bringing slaughter to the masses in No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. Travis Touchdown has allowed himself to be placed back in the assassin rankings, but I'll be honest and say that I think I'd rather just play "Bug Out" forever. Oh well. I guess those assassins won't (all) kill themselves.

EA Sports shows you the (mostly) new features of
NHL 12

NEWS - With NHL 12 hitting stories tomorrow the folks at EA Sports have released a short montage of the new features in this year's game. They include Hockey Ultimate Team, improved stats based on the NHL season, and a bevy of other features and tweaks. The early review scores for the game have been positive but then again we're talking about pre-release scores so you might want to wait until that Meta-critic bucket fills out a bit more.

Personally I'm picking up a copy tomorrow no matter what, as Ben's going to be back into Ohio for a day or so and I know we'll be spending a lot of quality title with the game while he's here. Look for our impressions later this week.

As a sort-of sequel to the so-so resource management title Rescue Team, Rescue Frenzy takes a more urban approach to time management. Instead of saving an island after a natural disaster, the the new game introduces pump stations, nuclear power plants, large apartments and people as well as animals in danger. The game is very entertaining and unique, in spite of some nagging issues.
