Sam & Max go stark raving mad on GameTap

by: Randy Kalista
NEWS - Telltale Games is keeping the episodic Sam & Max content coming with Sam & Max 203: Night of the Raving Dead -- now available on GameTap.  The episode's worldwide release is tomorrow (Wednesday), along with a free demo, all of which will be available at Telltale's official site.  And hey, Sam & Max's producers aren't completely heartless -- they've already posted a walkthrough in case you accidentally get stuck somewhere between the outrageously witty script and the Eurotrash, emo-driven vampire antagonist.  Can the iconic duo save the Western Hemisphere from the stylish, flesh-eating undead army?

Gamers fill an entire Guinness Book of World
Records

by: Randy Kalista
NEWS - Coming March 11 to North America (the book already hit European store shelves last week) is the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition 2008.  To celebrate the North American release, Guinness is holding a worldwide Guitar Hero Relay between the UK, France, US, Canada, South Africa and Australia.  Here are some winners already in print (severely pared down, just to give you a taste):  1) The Most Video Game Accolades:  Sid Meier (due to his Civilization series); 2)  The most Successful Video Game Documentary:  The King of Kong: Fistful of Quarters -- a movie that our own John Yan blogged about in the AT&T Blue Room; ... and one that particularly threw me for a loop ... 3) The Largest Number of Games in a Single Series:  Final Fantasy?  Nope.  Dragon Quest?  Nope.  Both of them together?  Not even closeMega Man -- with 17 games in the "classic" series starring the original character; there are also 11 Mega Man X games, four Mega Man Zero games, two Mega Man ZX games, three Mega Man Legends games, six Mega Man Battle Network games, plus three Mega Man Star Force games making a total of 46 (!!!).  Are you ready to submit a record to break?
