The sequel to the commercially and critically well-received Transformers: War for Cybertron is still under way. Prior to that, though, there will be another licensed game; it shares the name of its movie counterpart: Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

IGN has the scoop, revealing that High Moon Studios is on board for development again. This title will act as a prologue to the film, and thankfully, they're retaining much of what you loved from War for Cybertron. The controls and gameplay will be "similar," and online multiplayer naturally isn't going anywhere.

It's been almost long enough since the name of the film was announced that the ridiculousness of it has worn off. Almost. Maybe by the time this game is out, I'll finally get over it. For the time being, here's an obligatory countdown.

These are the kinds of questions that Muse poses to players, with its truly unique storyline. Following a strong initial release, Paradox Interactive has given an update on Magicka's sales to Big Download: 200,000 copies sold in its first 17 days. Remarkable for a small-scale launch, even if the game was budget priced. Word travels quickly, I suppose.

Paradox producer Mattias Lilja says the team at Arrowhead Studios is "close" in terms of fixing technical issues, "but not there yet. The basic tech design of Magicka sets some limits to what we can realistically do, but there's still stuff we can and definitely will improve upon."

As for downloadable content, "the release plan includes both free and paid" content, and it's supposedly wild stuff. Lilja also hints that, should Magicka continue to be successful, there's an opportunity for a sequel. You don't say!
