New screens from The Last Guardian leave me on
the floor

New screens from The Last Guardian leave me on the floor screenshot

The Last Guardian is, hands down, my most wanted game. Not my most wanted PS3 game, mind you, but most wanted out of every game that has been announced since E3. Go watch the trailer again, because honestly, it's one of the best uses of your time I can come up with.

Seeing these huge wallpaper-sized screens today has blown my mind in more ways than one -- not only is the game graphically impressive, but the screens already hint at a relationship between boy and beast that is tugging my heartstrings.

If you have a close look at all the screens, you'll notice a few of them show what look to be spears embedded in the guardian's back. Obviously it will defend you from attack ... but from what? The release date for The Last Guardian is unknown, but I can only hope it's soon, because this truly looks like the game of my dreams.

Palm Pre's hidden dev mode unlocked via Konami code? screenshot

Phone freaks surely know about the Palm Pre, the first device to truly give Apple's iPhone a run for its money. And if AT&T's network and service keeps sucking, you may see many more of these sexy mobile phones, available on Sprint's service, around town.

The Pre has a hidden Dev Mode, which allows it to be connected to another computer running the Palm Mojo SDK to create new applications. Nerdy stuff. But what's even more nerdy/cool is how this mode is unlocked. Run this hidden app by typing “upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart.” Doesn't that code look familiar? You won't get 30 extra lives, but you could f*ck up your phone if you don't know what you're doing.

I wonder if there are any Contra fans in the Palm offices.

Venom is in Ultimate Alliance 2. Eddie Brock is
not.

Last week during E3 we were delighted to share with you some new screenshots from the upcoming Marvel Ultiamte Alliance 2.  But those screenshots raised a few questions.  Specifically, what was up with the major makeover on Venom?  Now it looks like we have some answers.

The Venom shown in the image from last week isn't the classic Eddie Brock Venom that we all know and love, but the more recent Mac Gargan Venom.
