Enough of you made a fuss over Minecraft - Pocket Edition to convince the powers that be to listen. Mojang's Daniel Kaplan says the team plans to submit and update this iOS and Android version by February 8.
"We have read tons of comments and feedback and it seems like we made a huge mistake," he writes. "You wanted monsters, resources, animals and more different blocks. This means that the initial code we had written didn’t exactly fit with the new plan where we wanted to add all the stuff you have been asking for. So we have been reorganizing, rewritten and changed the whole plan for Minecraft - Pocket Edition."
"You will see some neat looking animals and new blocks. Crafting won’t be in this update since we need to redesign the GUI for it and it will need some iteration and thinking. But the great part is that the foundation for survival will be mostly done and we can throw out much more fun updates!"
Kaplan says bug fixes, doors, and fences are in this update as well. Listening to fans and then changing internal plans to accommodate? These guys might just be on to something.

Alright, no more beating around the bush -- Fighterpedia is incredible. The show is able to present some seriously fascinating fighting game trivia while keeping the overall energy and enthusiasm constant throughout. I'm lovin' it! Good job, Woolie and Matt!
In this latest episode, the duo charts the rise of the videogame fatality and notes the games that shamelessly cribbed from Mortal Kombat. My favorite part comes around the five-minute mark when they start listing off all the other fifth-rung, hyperviolent copycats, like Weapon Lord and Pray for Death. Did you know that one of Naughty Dog's earliest titles was a bloody fighter called Way of the Warrior, or that another game called Shadow: War of Succession was developed by a company co-founded by Robert De Niro? Like I said, fascinating stuff!

What you see above is a re-imagining by YouTuber ultimatemaverickx of the final battle in Mega Man Zero 3. If you haven't played any of the Zero series, you'll probably be wondering what the hell is going on. In short, there is this villain named Dr. Weil (unrelated to Wily), who has transferred Zero's memories into a substitute body and turned Zero's original body into a weapon of destruction called Omega. X has also lost his body and is now ethereal code, and throughout the battle, X and Zero have flashbacks to their last battle with Omega over a century prior...
Know what? F*ck it. Robots with swords and butt lasers go "pew pew pew." That's all you need to know. I'm just upset that this video was originally uploaded in November and I'm just finding out about it now. Whatevs. Enjoy the carnage!

NEWS - In a move that wasn't overly unexpected Sony has announced that they will be bringing Netflix to the Vita when it launches in the US later this year. I'm guessing that watching movies on the gorgeous OLED Vita screen will be all kinds of awesome (assuming you're connected via Wifi and not over a 3G connection). I'm still not 100% sold on the device yet but you have to give Sony credit for going all out with the unit.

Star Trek Online has gone where nearly every MMO that doesn't end in "craft" has gone before; free-to-play.
