Mass Effect 2 freebie armor and weapon now
available

by: Dan Keener
NEWS - Last month, BioWare announced plans for the Cerberus Network and a whole bunch of DLC for Mass Effect 2 that would tie into it. The first batch came out in late January, but a couple of freebies were introduced today according to the BioWare official forums.

The Cerberus Assault Armor and M-22a Evisceratior Shotgun DLC are now available from the Cereberus Network for both 360 and PC players. A couple of screens are below (the armor looks sweet), but here are the specs:

Cerberus Assault Armor
Cerberus assault armor is designed for shock troops, turn the tide of battle against creatures or forces that would decimate normal soldiers.
Increases heavy weapon ammo capacity by +10%
Increases shields by +10%
Increases health by +10%

M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun
The M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun is a longer-range shotgun with armor-piercing loads. This design also violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22a is not distributed to militaries.

Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! gets a new
title

by: Tina Amini
NEWS - Looks like PSP owners excited for the release of Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! will have to begin to revise their speech somewhat. The game is now being called What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord?!

Due to a “conflict of interest with an existing IP,” NIS America decided to go for this new title. You can probably venture a quick and accurate guess as to what title the original was leaning very close toward. Either way, the game is still releasing on May 4th.

Immortal Empire: Free to play, surprisingly good!

Immortal Empire: Free to play, surprisingly good! screenshot

You've probably never heard of Jesse Attard, but he's a man with a pedigree. After all, he was the project lead on BioShock 2's multiplayer. With that game now wrapped up, Attard has founded Tactic Studios, a new developer that has just launched its first ever title, Immortal Empire

Immortal Empire is a completely free strategy game, playable in one's browser, similar to games like Evony. However, unlike Evony, Immortal Empire is actually rather good. It's similar to Dawn of War in that it's about a few powerful units as opposed to grand armies, but it's a turn-based affair. It reminds me of Astonishia Story in its gameplay, an RPG that a lot of people disliked but I actually loved.

It costs absolutely nothing, and it's worth checking out. So far there's no premium content, which means that you can access everything for free. Pick one of nine unique and character classes, recruit up to four other characters, and complete quests to earn loot and acquire more power. Simple stuff, but pretty damn fun so far.

There's your free game recommendation of the day. Give it a look and support a brand new studio. It's not like they're asking for money!
