Uncharted 3 Officially Announced Sony and Naughty Dog officially announced Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception with a teaser trailer and details on the game's story.

To say Uncharted 3 is highly anticipated is a huge understatement. Many people think that the Uncharted franchise is the best on the PlayStation 3 and it would be hard to argue with them. The third installment in the franchise was a no-brainer, but it was still good to hear the official announcement. It was originally rumored to be unveiled at the upcoming VGAs but Naughty Dog apparently couldn't wait.

Entertainment Weekly got the exclusive first-look at Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and was kind enough to let us in on the details. The rumors that the third game would take place in the desert were correct. The story will again follow Nathan Drake and will revolve around his relationship with Sully. True to the game's title, there will be lots of deception while Drake searches for a lost city in the Arabian Peninsula.

Along with the story details, Naughty Dog said that Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is going to support stereoscopic 3D when it's released which shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until late 2011 to get our hands on the PlayStation 3 exclusive. The first official trailer will be shown at the upcoming VGAs but you can check out a way too short teaser trailer after the break. Renegade Kid -- the studio behind Moon, the Dementium series, and now ATV Wild Ride -- might put one of its older titles on the DSiWare service. It's called Maximilian and the Rise of the Mutant Mudds, and although it never attracted publisher attention for a full release, it could live on in the digital realm.

That's if this blog post gets enough support. Specifically, Renegade Kid wants to surpass the 1,000-person mark before they put energy into releasing this game. The video above should give you the gist of what they're going for with Rise of the Mutant Mudds. It's hard to say no to such a great name.

Quite a lot of media concerning Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D and Resident Evil: Revelations has cropped up lately, and who are we to argue? The games' are looking hot, even if you can run and shoot at once, and here's something to spice things up -- the return of Resident Evil 4's parasite-infested zealots.

I'm basically excited for everything that's been announced for the 3DS thus far, so these are just two more things I'm looking forward to. How about you lot? Is the ability to run n' gun ruining your excitement, or are you just excited to explode some ganado heads in glorious 3D?

Mindjack gets a new trailer with the reiterated
claim of unifying single and multiplayer

NEWS - The more I see from Mindjack, the less impressed I am. This cheesily narrated trailer is no exception.

I like the idea of being able to switch between human, mech and creatures as combatants, but I am not sure the actual model will fit the pace of what that should amount to. The trailer gives you a look at some of the hacking going on as players take control of AI characters on the field, and it also describes the role of the host. The host seems to have a bit of an overbearing control, but I’ll leave that judgement till after playing the game should I be so inclined or, you know, get assigned the game.

Regardless, if you are looking forward to Square Enix’s upcoming online action shooter, or just want to parry me on my argument, take a look at the new trailer below.

Since last checking in, Steam has added a few more deals. Every time any of us have ever mentioned PC games getting discounted, inevitably someone mentions how they want Amnesia: The Dark Descent to not cost twenty bones in the comments. Well, today's your lucky day:

Gotta love how they hit both ends of the spectrum by featuring The UnderGarden (soothing, lighthearted) and Amnesia (scariest game in years). And don't forget, Steam is still doing its treasure hunt thing. That Team Fortress 2 gear isn't going to unlock itself.

Trio of Space Marine screens trickle out

NEWS - Remember Warhammer 40,000:Space Marines? Well it's been a while since we heard anything on the game so this week THQ released three new screenshots from the game to remind you that the game is still in production.

The screenshots feature space marines doing space marine stuff with the usual weapons like plasma guns, explosions, and chainsaw swords. Looks pretty good and should help keep the irons hot between now and when the game is released next summer.
