The hottest news in video games will remain in Los Angeles this week as the new releases for most platforms are more than light. The PC remains in the lead with the most new titles and once again there?s no next-gen action. The biggest news on the horizon comes next week when the controversial Da Vinci Code makes its way to several platforms.
This week, however, does have a few bright spots in the new release arena. The biggest title it appears is perhaps SiN Episode 1: Emergence for the PC. And, Atari once again is recycling old titles and trying to make them new again. On the upside, Atari has some pretty big news coming out of the E3.
Overall though, here?s hoping the E3 action is a lot more awe inspiring than this week?s game releases.
Titles coming out this week include:

Add to myYahoo! That bastion of video game journalism, Time Magazine, has first word on a new Warioware microgame title for the upcoming Nintendo Wii. A Warioware title was inevitable, but to be honest I didn't expect to see one demoed quite so...

World War II action goes next-gen with Activision?s announcement that Call of Duty 3 will in fact be coming out for the big three ? Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3.
A trailer for the new title in the World War II series is available through Cubed3, by clicking here.
This version of the game will have players seeing the action of Normandy through the eyes of several Allied soldiers. The trailer looks fast-pace and up-close-and-personal.
The first-person shooter is a favorite among gamers who love to get into the action and this title is looking like it will shape up to combine the best the next-gen consoles have to offer with a solid big name title from the past.
It?s due out later this year.

Activision has cornered the market on 007 video games. The company has obtained the rights to publish James Bond video games, taking over where Electronic Arts left off.
The deal gives Activision the worldwide rights to make games for all platforms, including consoles, handheld devices and the PC.
The first Activision titles likely won?t roll out until sometime next year though. The exclusive rights start in September 2007 and go forward seven years. Until then,
Activision only has ?non-exclusive? rights to publish 007 game titles.
The James Bond franchise creates tremendous global expansion opportunities for Activision as it is one of the few video game licenses that appeals equally to domestic and international consumers," Mike Griffith, head of Activision's publishing arm, said in a statement.
