Can I just say, first of all, if you show me a toucan in a game, I want to ride that toucan. Players might be as frustrated as ever that Roman centurions are riding in mechs and riding tropical birds while they spend time eating their own ass, but it appears as though Noby Noby Boy's online community is still going strong. Their combined efforts have allowed Noby Noby Girl to reach the eighth planet in the solar system, Uranus.
It's taken nearly three years (1045 days to be specific) for the community to get there, which is quite astonishing considering distances between planets are to scale. If you've yet to try Keita Takahashi's latest bizarre offering and want to join as the journey to Neptune begins, the title is still available via PSN for just $4.99, and maybe a bit of your sanity.

We at Destructoid's Twitch TV channel would like to make you aware that Mash Tactics is going to be playing SoulCalibur V live, three weeks early! Namco Bandai's latest addition to the popular fighting game series isn't set to release in North America until January 31st, but we're bringing it to you this Monday, January 9th.
Come watch and chat with us live as we check out all of SoulCalibur V's bursting new features. Gamers have spent hours with SoulCalibur's extensive character creation feature, and have been delighted to play as cameo characters crossed over from other franchises. SoulCalibur V carries on this tradition with the, somewhat surprising, inclusion of Ezio Auditore da Firenze from the Assassin's Creed franchise.
It's always a goal of Mash Tactics to bring the Destructoid and Twitch TV communities exclusive events like this. Tune in this Monday at 4 p.m. Pacific for this amazing, early look at the much anticipated slugfest.

Like a lot of people who constantly think about videogames, I've often fantasied about what it would be like if my favorite developers had the opportunity to take on the franchises that made them who they are today What would the Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros. be like in the hands of the Edmund McMillen, creator of the Zelda inspired The Binding of Isaac and the Super Mario-tribute Super Meat Boy? What would Gaijin Games do with the Sonic franchise, or Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya with the Metroid series? What if WayForward made the next Mega Man game.
Out of all these misguided game development fantasies, that last one probably makes the most sense. From WayForward's history with Capcom, to their effort to insert a catchy tune into every second of every game they create, to their steadfast dedication to excellence 2D animated graphics, character design, and level design, all of the studio's strengths just beg to be applied to a new Mega Man title.
The community over at Capcom-Unity had the same idea, and in typical Capcom style, Capcom Senior Vice-President Christian Svensson jumped into the discussion with an heartfelt and honest response: "I'm also a WF fan and I'm familiar with their work. I'll never say never but there'd be a million approvals before a MM title could ever be produced in the West."
It also took a million approvals for Capcom to get Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom brought to the West, but Capcom USA managed to pull that off in the end. Anything is possible with dedication and love of the source material. Make it happen, Capcom. It'll do your reputation a world of good, and make Mega Man fans everywhere fappy as huck.

Some people like Skyrim. Some people don't. From what I can tell, the difference between the two groups lies in their interest (or lack there of) in wandering around in a virtual landscape that earnestly attempts to recreate the appearance "the real world", while occasionally fudging with reality a bit, with things like dragons and the ability to shoot fire out of your hands. Some people are really excited about that concept. Others remain totally unimpressed.
This mod may be the thing that will brings those two groups together. There is absolutely nothing not to like about a giant, shirtless, winged, dead, professional wrestler coming down from the sky and breathing fire on a group of hapless victims.
I hope they do The Fabulous Moolah next.
