Are you planning to buy Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love for the PS2 or Wii this March? Haha! I kid, of course you are planning to buy it.
However, decisions must still be made for exactly which version of Sakura Wars to buy. Will you be getting the "premium" PS2 edition, which comes with an art book, poster, and (most importantly) a second disc containing the game with its original Japanese voice acting? Or will you be getting the cheaper, "standard" Wii edition, which only incorporates the English-localized dub?
Otaku and PS2 owners might find that choice easier (despite the English-only Wii version being ten bucks cheaper), but NIS-America has decided to throw in another factor to sweeten the pot for both platforms - more swag.
A deluxe, limited-run "Unforgettable Memories" edition of the PS2 and Wii versions of Sakura Wars has popped up on NIS-A's online store, RosenQueen. This edition comes with a full-sized 80-page hardcover art book. That's pretty spiffy for people who get disappointed when the art books that are barely the size of the disc case. Further, it makes the PS2 version even more premium than it already is, since it now has two art books.
Unfortunately, both super-deluxe editions are ten bucks more expensive, bringing the PS2 version up to $49.99 (from $39.99) and the Wii version up to $39.99 (from $29.99).
Are you planning to cough up an extra Hamilton for hot hardcover action?

Add to myYahoo! The Big N flexes their marketing muscle for Capcom, will it work?
Nintendo is giving Capcom's Monster Hunter Tri a marketing boost, signing a deal that will make the Big N responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of the title when it hits Europe and Australia this April.

"Nintendo has identified Monster Hunter Tri as a key title for the Wii platform in 2010," says Capcom Europe's Senior Director of Marketing, Michael Pattison. "We are really excited about partnering with Nintendo to further develop this franchise."
The deal reflects Nintendo's hopes that the Monster Hunter series, which has always sold well in Japan, will be a smash hit as Capcom brings the franchise exclusively to the Wii this year.
Laurent Fischer, Nintendo of Europe's Managing Director of Marketing and PR, told G4TV.com, "Monster Hunter has a huge and passionate following in Japan, and we are looking forward to introducing the Monster Hunter Tri to a whole new audience in Europe as the series makes its first appearance on the Wii."
Unfortunately, Capcom has yet to reveal a North American release date.
Sales of Monster Hunter Tri in Japan have been impressive, selling well over a million copies since August. Capcom famously shipped one million copies of the game to retailers in advance of its launch, making it the first third-party Wii game in Japan to have an initial run of 1 million copies.
Will adding Nintendo's marketing muscle to the distribution efforts have a big impact on its European and Australian sales? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
