Salivating for that next inventive indie platformer? Strange Loop Games' aquatic puzzle-platformer might just be able to quench your thirst. Similar to Fluidity and the Pixeljunk Shooter games, Vessel presents environmental and physics-based puzzles that are solved through the manipulation of animated liquids. In addition to that, players can expect level design reminiscent of Metroidvania titles coupled with bright, vivid visuals and gorgeous lighting effects.
Vessel will be making its way to PC in just a few short weeks, releasing on the first of March. If you're holding out for a console version, the title will eventually be trickling down to the PlaySation Network and Xbox Live Arcade at an unannounced later date.

Happy Monday, readers! If today's set of The Destructoid Show looks different to you, that's because it's not our set. In lieu of a full-sized studio episode today, Max and I filmed a quick news update instead while rushing to get our reviews up for The Darkness II and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Look out for those tomorrow!
In the meantime, I've got a recap of Jim's Resident Evil: Revelations review to cover and a PSA regarding Skyrim's Creation Kit release tomorrow. Max, on the other hand, has a pretty picture of Metal Gear Solid HD on the PS Vita for us to look at, and a new name for the PlayStation Network.

When the news broke today that many game companies with apps in Apple?s Top 25 App Store Charts have paid for marketing services guaranteeing top placement either by allegedly using bots or some mysteriously unknownlegitimate strategy (that we'd love to discover the secret of), we knew that it would hit Apple?s radar screen.
And tonight, it has. Apple just posted on its Developer Blog and News Feed a message re-iterating its policy in regards third-party marketing services and paying to manipulate the top rankings of its chart is, don?t do it . . . or else.

The cold, bleak month of February has never struck me as particularly romantic. But my frosty heart is often melted by trinkets, so I'll take what I can get. With Valentine's Day drawing near SOE has decided to court the players of a few of their MMOs. Instead of sending them inappropriate pictures and hanging around their houses late at night in the conventional manner, SOE is offering quests, contests and rewards. If they do start stalking you it has nothing to do with their Valentine's Day celebrations and you should probably just call the police.
In Free Realms players can celebrate the Festival of Hearts which features a pixie romance, themed areas and quests for special Valentine's Day items. In Norath it's Erollisi Day and Everquest II's players can aid the Sisters of Erollisi in fulfilling the call of love, if that's carnal love or something else, I don't know. Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures is just getting some marketplace items, maybe it doesn't deserve as much love? You can find the dates and some more information on their respective sites.

What better way to spend Valentine's Day than with the person you care about, playing a wacky PS3 Move game about shooting young girls into the throes of wild passion. Gal Gun will be hitting the Japanese PSN on February 14 2012.
The game involves shooting pheromones at different areas of hyper-cute Japanese school girls, while trying to continue your chain of Ecstasy Shots to net you a better score. The trailer also reveals some other interesting diversions in Gal Gun, including a rhythm game section, photo sessions with the various girls as well as trying to save a girl who being held captive by a monster with tentacles.
All panty shots and funny remote waggling aside, this actually looks like a really funny and quirky game that we probably won't ever see stateside, so you better check it out while you can. If you have a Move and are looking to try something a little different, load up your Japanese PSN account and show those Japanese school girls your Ecstasy Shot!
