Rockwell had it right.
Anyone who has bothered to look at the Steam storefront today will have met eye to eye with Commander Shepard. I've included the background image, because I didn't want anyone to feel left out.
For the remainder of the day, Mass Effect is $5, Mass Effect 2 is $9.99, and Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition (art book, exclusive in-game gear, the soundtrack, etc.) is $19.99.
With Mass Effect 3 now on for early 2012, it's never too late to get into this series.

Get it? Climbing up the walls? Like the game?...no?
Sorry. Forgive this stupid sheep. I'm just excited to know that Atlus' Catherine is coming this summer (July 26th!). I loved the Japanese version so much.
Today Atlus sends along some new screenshots. Many of them are deep and judge-y, as you'd expect with a game that features a guy that's trying to balance life with two girls. So good. So naughty. Between that and the obvious nod to French's mustard, I'm set. What else could you ask for?
I know what else you could ask for: The deluxe Love Is Over edition of Catherine, which comes with music, art, underwear and whatnot. Remember when we were hoping so hard that we'd just get a localized version of this game? Now we're getting it plus all this cool stuff? We're so spoiled.

GOG.com warned Australian gamers on Facebook today that on Friday at 15:00 GMT, the pre-order price of The Witcher 2 will go from $42.27 AUD to $62.99 AUD because of "licensing reasons" they can't elaborate upon. It involves the Australian edited version of the game though, but if it makes you feel better: mods will no doubt fix that right up for you.
Because the Australian price is still higher than what people in the U.S. pay for the game in dollars, Australian purchasers will receive $26 USD store credit according to the Facebook comments on GOG's side. Also, as part of their spring update you can grab the classic MicroProse adventure Dragonsphere for free right here!
The update adds Private Messaging functionality to the service as well, which looks straightforward enough. More importantly, GOG.com now has a new and optional downloader. This nifty little thing offers multi-threaded downloads for increased download speeds, error checking for those with spotty connections, and should be very light on your resources.
It looks like the new downloader works as advertised, as it downloaded Dragonsphere at about 8MB/s in 10 seconds. Good stuff from GOG all around!
[Thanks Paroxysm!]

From Dust is the upcoming sandbox simulator by legendary designer Eric Chahi. The PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network title sees you playing the roll of a god-like spirit as you reshape the environment how you see fit in order to protect a group of villagers.
The most striking and attention grabbing aspect of From Dust is easily the stunning art direction. Our latest, and exclusive, look runs us through what inspired the world and the characters of From Dust.
Check out Jonathan Holmes's preview of From Dust for more on the game.

THQ and OnLive did it with Homefront, and now they're doing it again with Red Faction: Armageddon. By pre-ordering the game, you'll get a free OnLive Game System that's fully compatible with the streaming service. Additionally, they will help get your ass to mars by throwing in a copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla.
The landing page for this admittedly rather intriguing promotion can be found here. If you're worried about when Armageddon is going to unlock on OnLive, worry not: it's a day-and-date affair, with the specific time set at 12:10 EDT on June 7.
What did you think of the demo, by the way?
