Numblast. It’s a downloadable puzzle title with wicked bright colors and tons of rotation -- two things that spell "brain hurt" for me. Still, the game appears to be a solid puzzle title. The core goal is to rotate and thus align matching squares in 2 x 2 blocks. Once matched, these numbered-puppies pop while counting upwards from the initial number, creating more and more colorful opportunities.
If this is your thing, get excited: an announcement on the official PS blog this afternoon pegged the game’s PSN release date as this Thursday. It was also mentioned that the game is to debut at $4.99 and be available for PS3 and PSP play.
So, puzzle people, does this look like something that may become your jam?

Valve has announced that the eagerly anticipated Left 4 Dead 2 demo is available for everybody to enjoy right now on Steam and Xbox LIVE.
The Left 4 Dead 2 demo was available to anybody that pre-ordered the game last week but beginning today everybody gets their hands on the L4D2 demo. The demo is available on Steam and Xbox LIVE right now. In the demo you get the chance to play through a part of "The Parish" campaign. "The Parish" level takes place in the French Quarter and will allow you to try out some of the new melee weapons.
In the new Left 4 Dead 2 demo gameplay videos, we get to see the Survivors take down some zombies using a guitar and a samurai sword. In addition to the melee weapons, the gameplay video shows off the shotgun as well as the some new machine guns. The samurai sword is especially brutal as displayed in the video. The game's frenetic pace looks to match and possibly beat the original Left 4 Dead's awesome gameplay. Anybody doubting whether or not Valve should have released a sequel so quickly, should download the demo and try it out. I think they have more than added enough game to warrant the full release.
Left 4 Dead 2 is going to hit store shelves on November 17th for Xbox 360 and the PC. Check out the demo gameplay videos after the break.Read more...

NEWS - You know that band you listen/listened to and are sort of embarrassed to admit you once lip-synced to with your headphones in when no one was looking? Well, yeah that’s pretty much 30 Seconds to Mars for me. Dragon Age: Origins was just released today to the delight of many, and the multiple DLCs already available to you are not the only announcement in today’s BioWare news. EA has also announced that the band I deny having listened to in past years is making a debut appearance in the game’s soundtrack with a track from their upcoming album THIS IS WAR. I’m thinking that it’s more an honor for 30 Seconds to Mars to be featured in Dragon Age: Origins than it is vice versa.
Nevertheless, they put out a new trailer featuring the song, so you can all decide for yourselves. The trailer is as badass as I expect it to be from Dragon Age, and the song is as teenage-rock as I also expect it to be. Read on if you’re interested in hearing the full press releases on both stories.

I've spotted a few of these ads for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles around the NYC subway system, and I was completely surprised. Not by the creepy zombie man, but by the fact that Nintendo is still advertising the Zapper! Really? Isn't it still only packed in with Link's Crossbow Training? I figured the Zapper for the new millenium had been laid to rest by now. I guess Capcom still finds it useful.

Add to myYahoo!"Welcome subject 7." With those chilling words begins a new room escape adventure series by talented Portuguese designer, Fausto Fonseca. Welcome to the Light Asylum! At least, welcome to the first two rooms, a very promising start to what looks to be an entertaining, mind-stretching series.
