PSPorn: Queen's Blade advertising and trailer
titillate

Do any of you remember the screenshots of Namco Bandai's Queen's Blade: Sprial Chaos that accompanied Dale's announcement post a few months ago? Unfortunately, there happened to be some sort of pink filter covering up the most important parts. Well, the game will be released in Japan (where else?) this winter, and its promotional material doesn't leave much to the imagination. If you happen to live across the pond, these promo cards are being offered at retailers like Sofmap.

Queen's Blade originated as a series of "visual combat books" based on the Lost Worlds system. Each character has her own book that details her abilities and stats -- from there, it plays out like any tabletop RPG would. Japan, of course, improved on the system by taking into account that fact, when girls fight, their clothes come off. Makes sense to me.

The series made the jump to anime and, like I said, has now migrated onto the PSP. Queen's Blade: Spiral Chaos is played on a grid (as most strategy RPGs are) and transitions into 2D fighting to settle disputes.

Anyway one of the promo shots (all in the gallery) shows two girls hugging, except one girl's hair has turned into a tentacle and is groping the other one. I swear to God, I couldn't make this stuff up.

TheBBPS Goes to the Movies: Transformers: Revenge
of the Fallen

I have fond memories of playing with Transformers, watching the TV show, and going to the original animated movie.  It's one of the few playthings that I really ever got into as a child.  With news of a Steven Spielberg produced live-action movie, many man-boys (including myself) nearly lost their minds.  Then we found out Micheal Bay was directing.  Then we went to go see it.  Disappointing, the film was nevertheless adequate and entertaining.  Expectations lowered the second time around, I couldn't possibly be disappointed by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
