NEWS - The official Mass Effect 3 Twitter account has been busy over the past day or so dropping a bunch of fairly out-of-context bits of hard information on Mass Effect 3. Some are answers to questions posed by other fans via Twitter, while others just seem to because the folks at BioWare wanted us to know. Here are the choicest bits presented without context or much in the way of explanation:

Properly Spec'd Vanguard will be able to charge a lot
Mass Effect 3 will have a whopping 57 powers, 60 levels, and 178 points.
Soldiers: Omni-Blade, Sentinels: Double Omni-Blade, Engineers: Flame-Omni-Tool attack, Adepts: Biotic palm strike
Melee attack damage has to do with ability level-up, not weapon cutomization
You can't mod heavy weapons
Atlas health does not regenerate when Shepard is driving it
Squadmates aim their weapons at the ground with not in combat
The Predator pistol will be back with some improvements

They also Tweeted a few videos from PAX 2011. These so called "demo briefings" played before the Mass Effect 3 demo at PAX. There's no word on if something similar will make the final game. Mass Effect 3 comes out 3.6.12.

It's Saturday, the start of Labor Day Weekend, and you don't have any plans. Rather than cry into a pint of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food, why don't you give this little Flash game a go? The hours will melt away.

/ ESCAPE \ is a simple one-button score attack game, not unlike Canabalt, in which the object is to climb as high up a vertical shaft as you can. You are little black-and-purple ninja dude who bounds off the walls whenever you press the ESC button. If you don't press anything, you'll slide down the wall; if you time your button presses precisely, you'll propel yourself faster. You have to carefully avoid electrified panels while also staying ahead of a pursuing laser beam.

Once you begin, the music starts bumpin' and your blood starts pumpin'. Then you keep replaying until your plants wither and your bananas brown, and then you play some more. Addiction.

It's time to re-experience Commander Video's profound musical journey in the upcoming Bit.Trip COMPLETE. Scheduled to be released for Wii on September 13, this disc will contain all six episodes of the Bit.Trip series, plus all new challenges and a bonus soundtrack disc. Jonathan Holmes is floating in ecstasy, anxious to gently brush against this most blessed artifact, and I'd like to think that some of his enthusiasm has rubbed off on the rest of you.
