Rocksteady has a complete build of Batman: Arkham
City

Rocksteady has a complete build of Batman: Arkham City screenshot

The Batman is very pleased this day. His next adventure, Batman: Arkham City, is "complete," playable from start to finish and in need only of some tender polishing.

The information was discovered on a recent OPM podcast (#11 for those who want to hear for themselves), which revealed some exciting new details about the sequel. For one, there's a new grapple system that propels you into the air, which should make for some extended bat flight and some harsh punishment from above.

There was also a discussion of co-op play (which would make sense considering there were previous hints of multiplayer), but nothing is confirmed yet. There's definitely something brewing in the land of multiplayer, but we'll have to wait and see just what it is. I'm sure it involves punching.

It's important to remember that "complete" doesn't mean that the game's going to be in our hands tomorrow, but, you know, I don't even care. Just knowing that all the parts are in place makes my fists ready for bashing. In the best way possible.

Namco bringing a classic 'Megamix' to Wii this
November

Namco bringing a classic 'Megamix' to Wii this November screenshot

Because you can't get enough collections of Namco Bandai classics, the publisher has announced another one -- Namco Museum Megamix for Wii. The disc will feature 18 arcade ports, along with six "remixes" versions of games that feature 3D updates and Wii motion controls.

Expect to find the usual suspects on in Megamix, including Pac-Man, Galaga, Mappy, and Rally-X. It's the updates that should have you interested, though. Pac-Motos will let you control your own Pac-Man, tilting the Wii Remote in an attempt to knock other players out of an arena. GROBDA Remix has players controlling Pac-Man through arenas taking out tanks. "Get ready!"

Namco Museum Megamix is out November.

Need a scare Amnesia demo available

by: Chad Smith
NEWS - If you missed the trailer that I posted last week for Amnesia: The Dark Descent, it's ok.  I've got something even better!  The clip below should delight any scary movie fan.  My heart was racing by the end and I was thinking, "Why can't the character run faster?"  What could be better than an interactive scary movie?  I say, play it with the lights off and headphones on.

Those brave souls interested in trying it for themselves can download a demo for the game.  A full list of download locations (including Steam) can be found here.  It's only a little of 400Mb and should give a good taste of the final experience.  There's also time left to pre-order Amnesia: The Dark Descent for only $18.

Additionally, if you like what you see be sure to check out the Penumbra series.  It was one of the most original (and scary) series I've ever had the priviledge to play.  They are on sale for only $6 for the bundle and there's even a demo if you think you can't handle it.  Even my mom's computer can play this game so you don't have any excuse.

And now, enjoy this trailer... if you dare!

Oddworld: Strangers Wrath getting an HD makeover

by: Chad Smith
NEWS - Did you hear that scream of delight earlier this afternoon?  It was probably when I read the news of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath coming to PS3 early next year.  It's actually going to be made available as a digital download from the PSN.  What has turned out to be one of my favorite games on the Xbox, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is a quirky title that fits right into the fictional universe.

Players take on the role of Stranger, a bounty hunter that uses "live" ammo.  The 2005 title is getting a full 720p up-do, Move support, and more additional content to be revealed.  We already knew that this title was coming to the PC, but I'll take it on the PS3, too.  Look for Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath around Easter 2011.

Simlish infects over three dozen musical artists

by: Chad Smith
NEWS - EA does it again.  They've managed to get a whole host of artists to "translate" their songs into simlish.  Yeah, they re-record a track into the gibberish language for use in-game.  This time they've grabbed such artists as Hot chip, Crash Kings, Kelis and My Chemical Romance.  Oh, and only like 30 others (most of whom I'm not cool enough to recognize).

What's the occasion?  It's all for The Sims 3 coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii as well as The Sims 3 Late Night expansion pack for PC and Mac.  That's a lot to celebrate.  Hit the jump for the full list if you dare.
