Analog Games Corner: Back to the Future Card Game

It wouldn?t be an overstatement to say that Back to the Future had a decent impact on my life. The movie came out when I was 7 years old and still remember my parents taking me to see it in the theater. I also remember demanding to sleep in my clothes that night cause McFly does it in the movie. Sadly there was no eccentric scientist living nearby or I?m sure I would?ve befriended him as well.

So it?s safe to say I was more than a little excited when I found out the Back to the Future card game that was coming out near the Blu Ray release of the trilogy. It?s from the folks at Looney Labs who?s most popular game to date has been the Fluxx series though that?s not all they?ve done. We?ve also taken a look at Chrononauts which is a card game about time travel and lends quite a bit gameplay wise to the Back to the Future game.

Bush Whacker Preview (Facebook)

Bush Whacker isn?t some cleverly named kidnapping game or crime sim, it?s actually a game where the player goes around hitting bushes with a sword. Yeah, that?s not a punchline. Before you go hitting that back button, whacking bushes is only one aspect of a surprisingly complex game.

Fading Hearts Review (Downloads)

Gamezebo Rating: 80

It's fair to say that the visual novel genre is heavily entwined in the dating sim side of gaming, and this is no more true than in Sakura River's Fading Hearts. A lengthy story of magic and mystery is provided, coupled with several girls' heart that can be broken or adhered to.

GoldenEye Returns with Preorder Bonuses

by: Sean Colleli
NEWS - Did you think that the Golden Classic Controller Pro was the only piece of swag coming with GoldenEye 007? That controller is pretty classy but depending on where you preorder the game, there are other goodies to be had. Gamestop gives you an unlock for the invisibility power in multiplayer, while Best Buy is offering the Tag Mode game type. Wal-Mart has a piece of actual swag, with the "cheater" t-shirt emblazoned with Oddjob's signature bowler hat.

Seriously, what's with all the hate for Oddjob? I know he was short and hard to hit back on the N64, but in the movie he was taller than Sean Connery, and in any case a decent player could handle him with no problem. Besides, everyone knows the best cheap character was Arctic Commando--his gray color scheme camouflaged him so well against those foggy N64 graphics.
