Assassins Creed II- DaVinci's Arsenal

Image

As you are probably well aware, it is the famous Renaissance Master, Leonardo DaVinci, who will be providing you with much of your equipment in your time as Ezio, the main man of Assassins Creed II. Of course, we all know about The Glider, but what we might not know so much about are the weapons, so here are four examples of what Leo is going to be giving us on November 20th.

1) The Hidden Blade

We all recognise this one. Hidden beneath Altair's wrist was this small blade just waiting to pop out and stab somebody in the back. Well, it's back, but this time, thanks to our good friend Leo, we'll be having two, one on each hand, so we can now sneakily murder two innocents at once!

The Hidden Blade

2) The Poison Blade

Here we have the Hidden Blade again, but with a differance... this one is poisonous and will cause anyone who is stabbed by it to go mental, flailing their weapon around and killing their allies.

3) The Hidden Gun

Yet another hidden weapon, the Hidden Gun will kill anyone in one shot, just like the Thowing Knives used by Altair, which will return but with less effect.

4) The Smoke Bomb

One of Leo's most interesting new additions to the weapons list is the Smoke Bomb. Throw one of these and the smoke produced will blind you attackers, giving you the ultimate escape route.

In addition to all these exciting new weapons, it has also been confirmed that you will also be using spears, warhammers and even you precious coins, if you can bare to part with them, to your advantage in combat in Assassins Creed II.

Encleverment Experiment coming to XBLA 'soon'

Encleverment Experiment coming to XBLA 'soon' screenshot

Looks like Blitz Arcade's long-in-production Xbox LIVE Arcade game Encleverment Experiment is finally makings its way to Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Gamerbytes is reporting that the title is set to hit the service in the next few weeks, with the official Twitter account of the game offering the vague "coming very soon." The game has Professor Ivor Question putting players to the test, as he has them solving puzzles, memory games, and more in a series of fast-paced challenges. If you think you're smarter than your friends, Encleverment Experiment allows for up to four players to compete in brainy battles.

For the record, I'm not okay with "encleverment" as a word. Because it's not. I'm just saying.

Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment wants to help
your RPG life to be less tedious

by: Tina Amini
NEWS - Ever have difficulty in choosing what stats to boost while playing an RPG? Personally, I love building my own character from the ground up and making decisions where to place upgrades. If you’re one of those gamers who prefer the action and attack strategy of RPGs as opposed to the character details, Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment has some good news for you.

The game keeps track of which of your abilities you use most often, and will make the necessary upgrades it deems fitting automatically when you level. The skills that will be updated are grouped into various new categories. Your Core Skills are your basic offensive/defensive tactics including critical strike and evasion. Magic Skills allow you to choose between a 24 spells to use to your liking. There are your battlegrounds skills of Combat and Weapon and that determine both your brute ability and your weapon specialty. Finally your Special Skills will determine your one unique quality whether it be to hasten your turn to fight, get an extra move after a finishing strike, lowering your opponent’s states, etc. Check the screenshots for what the skill sets look like on screen.

If you're interested in more about the characters, check our coverage from the summer. Although, I feel it's necessary to give you fair warning: it's been said that the images are somewhat disturbing due to the deformities of the characters. Not literal deformities per se, but take a look for yourselves.
