Previously available for pre-orders only, Left 4 Dead 2's demo is now on Xbox Live for all Gold subscribers, because taking demos away from Silver members is a great way to make Gold appear more valuable than it is. The demo should give you a good idea of what to expect in Valve's soon-to-be successful zombie sequel -- more of the same, but even better.
At the time of writing, I can see the demo on Xbox Live, but I keep getting an error message. Either that means too many people are downloading it, or Microsoft has screwed up for everyone as usual. In any case, it's there, but you might have to be patient.
Now I will continue getting myself excited for the game.

Infinity Ward has been busy putting out fires surrounding the upcoming release of Modern Warfare 2 and now leaked footage of a terrorist level have surfaced to the dismay of Activision.
Modern Warfare 2 is going to be the huge hit everybody believes it is going to be. Unfortunately the road to store shelves has hit a few potholes along the way. We recently posted a story about a trailer Activision released that showed Washington, DC in ruins and people were up in arms about it saying Infinity Ward went too far. Apparently that wasn't the most controversial footage to hit the Internet. Leaked footage of the single player game has popped up and it apparently shows you playing as a terrorist and you are gunning down innocent civilians in an airport. Originally when the video surfaced, people weren't sure if the video was real and if the footage was what it looked like. Apparently the footage was real because Activision started sending out pull-down notices and now you can't find the video anywhere. VG247 has posted a statement from Activision and they state the video is from the game but it is possible to skip the level. They included the level to show just how brutal terrorism can be.
Here is the statement posted by VG247 on their site in response to whether the video was real or not:Read more...

Add to myYahoo!New 8bitrocket History Blog Entry :
After making the last video podcast, the most enjoyable part turned out to be capturing video of some of our games. Taking that lead, we created this new 'demo reel' with game play video from just about 70 games in 3.5 minutes, most of which have never seen the light of day. Many of these are demos and experiments, while some are full games that are 95% complete but never 'released' for various reasons.
