Most of my weekend will be spent playing a little real-life Tetris, as I attempt to find open slots for all the boxes, furniture and knickknacks still in boxes from the Kotaku Towers West relocation endeavor.
First thing I'll be playing in the virtual world this weekend is the iPhone version of Doom: Resurrection, in anticipation of an upcoming review. Probably should update the firmware on that thing so I'm up to speed on all my iPhone needs. I'll also be giving BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger another crack, once the TV, Xbox 360 and all necessary audio-visual equipment is hooked up.
This weekend, I'll also more than likely be picking some games to sell off and give away. There are a half-dozen Sega Saturn games—Shining Force III, Guardian Heroes, Burning Rangers—that will get more use at someone else's house.
What will you be playing this American holiday weekend?

Valve's PR overlord, Doug Lombardi, answered our burning Left 4 Dead 2 questions at a recent event in London. We discuss PS3 development, the new cast and clarify some of the game's features, so read on.
So first thing's first. Where's Half Life 2 Episode 3?
Laughs. Stay tuned! No news on that today.
Worth a try! What's the real deal with PS3 development? At the end of last year you seemed quite up on the idea and then nothing since then.
We're still up on the idea. The thing that we've come to the conclusion on is that we've got to get some PS3 developers at Valve. We always look at everything as if we were customers of our products -- what would we want and what would we expect? If you look at The Orange Box -- PC: 96 on Metacritic, 360: 96 on Metacritic, PS3 like... 84 or something. And then you look at Left 4 Dead, I think it was 89 or 90 on both platforms.
Continued after the break.

Rocksteady Studios has released more gameplay footage from Batman: Arkham Asylum that also gives some more insight into the game's story.
Batman: Arkham Asylum's story is based around Batman facing "the worst night of his life". It revolved around Batman bringing the Joker in to Arkham Asylum, but it turns out to be part of an elaborate trap. The video also shows off some great combat footage. The game still looks amazing and we can't wait to get our hands on this finally.
Barring any more delays, Batman: Arkham Asylum is going to be released hopefully on August 25th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC. Check out the new footage after the break.Read more...

Mega64 has gone way back and spoofed the classic Oregon Trail game. Watch as they ford the river, barter for goods and die of horrible diseases.
You know, I never really knew what dysentery was before this. I mean, I knew it was a deadly disease. I just didn't realize you sh*t yourself to death because of it. That sh*t is gross, man.
Check out the new Mega64 video after the break!
[Thanks, Frank]
