Age of Conan expansion preview live on Xfire

NEWS - The upcoming expansion for Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, Rise of the Godslayer, is (somewhere) on the 2010 horizon. In the meantime, Funcom is arranging a live airing of an hour-long gameplay demo of the expansion on Xfire.com on December 7th.

The developers will go through the new content and gameplay of the expansion at 3PM (EST). If you’re looking to get a better introduction to Khitai and the alternate advancement and faction options, this will be your chance.

Similar to the promotion GameStop ran for Left 4 Dead 2 in which you could become a zombie using a simple picture of yourself, Internet voodoo, and a whole lot of patience, there's a new one that turns you into the infamous Nintendo 64 kid.

Although, knowing most of you, chances are high it's going to be more historical figures, infants, and inanimate objects than your own personal mugshot that get uploaded. After about ten tries or so, I finally got the damn thing to accept a photo of Mr. Destructoid.

As you can plainly see, I have created a monster.

Max Payne 3 gets delayed some more

NEWS - Now it's getting close to being a year later than the original release date. Kotaku is reporting on Take Two's latest news and one of the nuggets coming out of the deal is that Max Payne 3 is now slated for August of 2010 or later. It was suppose to be in the first half of 2010 but no longer. Kind of disappointing as I was looking forward to the third outing for Max but I guess it's good it's being moved to later in the year as it's sort of crowded in the first half of 2010.

Take Two's financials isn't all roses and the failure of the baseball franchise is helping sink them further for the fourth quarter and fiscal year of 2009. While I do like their basketball games, right now nothing holds a candle to Sony's MLB offerings from Santa Monica Studios.
