If that fat wad of Christmas cash hasn’t been annihilated by the desire to devour every other seasonal Steam deal, perhaps this afternoon might do the trick. The official Steam Web page has been updated, revealing a fresh set of price-slashed games to pick from for the next 24 hours.

Sam & Max Complete received the biggest mark. Once $59.99, the series is now available for $22.99. Portal is a mere $4.99 along with the original Mass Effect, while Devil May Cry 4 ($22.49), DOOM Pack Complete ($13.59), and RedLynx Trails 2: Second Edition ($2.249) are priced at sub-$25 values.

...but he hurt his back, and now can only jump. Nah, I made that last part up. But Mega Man's daddy, Keiji Inafune, said that he did have a crouch function in the first game. On crouching, Inafune revealed:

I've often heard people say, 'Mega Man can't crouch,' but we actually had a dot graphic of him crouching while we were working on 1. On the NES, with only a split second to see the slight height difference, the player wouldn't really be able to differentiate between a projectile that could only be dodged by jumping, and one that could only be dodged by crouching. That was the reason why we decided to go with a jumping-only system for Mega Man 1 and 2, and I think we did a good job refining it.

This came from the collection Mega Man: Official Complete Works, which also revealed much more about the Blue Bomber. Rockman Corner has plenty more where that came from, Mega Man fans.

HTC's new HD2 phone is a beauty...except for that whole Windows OS crap. It's a processing beast, though, and that makes it a prime candidate for emulation. PlayStation emulation, anyone? That's the dream. A portable playing PlayStation games? Wait. Isn't there already a game system that does that? And doesn't it have buttons?

No matter. Seeing Tekken 3 running on a phone is pretty cool. Yes, yes. Yes, we see how you are scrolling through the menus. You can stop now.

It's running crazy smooth, though. Not to be a stick in the mud, but there's still no buttons. Still, this emulator, the FPSECE, is a beast. If this is version 0.10, this thing is going to be a killer soon enough. It kind of makes me wish my no-button phone had a beefy PS emu. Or that Sony would get of their asses and release all the PS games on the PSP.
