Sony say sales are inline with expectations but will not provide numbers. Retailers have indicated that sales have been slow for the handheld device that sell for the same as a PlayStation 3.
Some retailers have already reduced the price to encourage early adopters.
The PSPgo is looked upon as a great opportunity for Sony to jump on the game download bandwagon dominated by the Apple iPhone and Nintendo DSi.
The next few months up to Christmas will hold the key to the handheld success or failure.
The Apple iPhone - iPod Touch has captured a great slice of the download games market, mainly due to the cheap price point of their games and applications. Apple report over 3 million downloads a DAY from it's iTunes App store in September 2009 and that doesn't include updates!More here
