House of the Dead: Overkill is receiving a f*cking staggering honor from The Guinness Book of World Records. According to their f*cking research, the on-rails zombie shooting f*ckfest has earned a f*cking record for having the "most swearing in a videogame" ever. Holy f*ck!

For the first f*cking time, Guinness has added the f*cking category to their f*cking "Gamer's Edition" of their prestigious f*cking book of records. House of the Dead: Overkill won the f*cking thing by using profane f*cking terms 189 f*cking times. With the game's f*cking dialogue clocking in at three f*cking hours, it works out to just over one f*cking use every f*cking minute. F*cking impressive if you ask me. I bet those f*ckers who worked on Madworld are f*cking pissed.

HOUSE OF THE DEAD: OVERKILL BREAKS [AN EFFIN’] RECORD FOR THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS GAMER’S EDITION

 

London, UK – 9 March, 2009 – The global authority on record-breaking, Guinness World Records, today announced that recently released The House of the Dead: OVERKILL (SEGA®, 2009) has broken into the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition for most swearing in a video game with a whopping 189 uses of the f-word.

 

Setting a record in this brand new category, the title recognizes The House of the Dead: OVERKILL as the most profane video game in history. During three hours of relatively limited dialogue, the campaign features 189 uses of the f-word, which equates to just over one per minute and three percent of all words spoken in the game.

 

Video Games Records Manager for Guinness World Records, Gaz Deaves, said: “This record category pre-existed for movies, music and television, but House of the Dead: Overkill is the first video game to be awarded the title in the Gamer’s Edition. It’s a mark of the times.”

 

The new record will be shortlisted for inclusion in next year’s Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition. Meanwhile, the 2009 Gamer’s Edition hit stores last month and has already received critical acclaim from both the gaming world and the mainstream press.
