Apple Conference Comes and Goes, No Pippin 2

Today Apple unvieled super-powered MacBooks, a polished update to it's OS X operating system, and a new(ish) iPhone. But those expecting a big push in the iPhone's / iPod Touch's gaming department will be a little underwhelmed.

The rumored "premium" games store didn't materialize, nor did any dedicated gaming hardware (which was a silly rumor anyway, in my opinion).

On the bright side, though, a 3D video processor now resides in each of the iPhone 3GS(peed)s. This will allow for 3D graphics without the iPhone's exploding in your hands. Expect more tower defense and marble / maze games.
