future of the gaming industry

NEWS - Guest editor of MCV Andrew Brown recently interviewed Microsoft’s Neil Thompson, Sony’s Ray Maguire and Nintendo’s David Yarnton about the future of the gaming industry. The full article revealed some interesting tidbits about the interviewees (Mr. Thompson still hasn't competed Halo on Legendary) the most intriguing of which were the respective company's views on the transition from retail to digital distribution of video games. Mr. Thompson, Mr. Maguire, and Mr. Yarton confirmed that digital distribution will be important in the future, but for now retail will remain as the most convenient way to distribute massive media content.
