MTV and Sony have announced a blockbuster deal to bring MTV programming to the PlayStation Network. The information was first given during Sony’s press conference at CES. We’re sure the entire crowd clapped vigorously after hearing the announcement.
The worldwide leader in music television owns a large amount of television real estate. Expect episodes of MTV’s The City, Comedy Central’s South Park, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants and VH1’s Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels to hit PSN in February. According to the press release (listed after the break) shows set to debut in the spring will be added “as they become available.”
No word on pricing, but it's probably safe to assume that each episode is going to cost a pretty penny. I'm willing to pay a ridiculous price if that means Bret Michaels will go away again. Actually, where was Michaels? A sewer? Living with Poison groupies at a retirement home?
